PLEASE PLEASE ME
"Please, please me, woah yeah, like I please you!"

I don't really know how to begin with this. I started building this blog just out of FOMO, really. I wanted to have a cute little digital space of my own, decorated to my liking. But then, I realized... it's a blog. I'm supposed to post stuff. I'm not really sure exactly WHAT kind of stuff I want to be posting?       Let alone if I wanna be posting at all. But I'll try! The entries will probably be all life updates. But not much happens in my life anyway. So, I'll try to make the most of what does happen to me.

And something that has been on my mind lately, is ghosting. Which is such a weird concept to me.

I haven't ghosted anyone... not that I know of. But I wouldn't be sure, given that I wasn't the one being ghosted. But whatever. And for me, I'm not sure I've been ghosted before, at least not seriously. I've probably gotten a few texts ignored for some time, and eventually replied to.

I'm not sure if it's because I tend to overanalyze everything and, well, the fact that the person doing it is my crush at the moment, that now I notice it. Too much.

It's not even a big deal. The conversation just dies. Maybe I say something he doesn't know how to reply to. And it just stays like that.

Or maybe he just spoiled me too much. This couple of months we've been talking (as friends. I'm pretty sure he doesn't know I fancy him), & we got to know each other pretty well. And with him being a shy and reserved guy, it felt sooo nice to see him willingly offer a piece of information about himself. A thousand times more rewarding than if it had been someone else. It felt so nice when I felt the conversation dying, and suddenly, he would throw in a question, which revived it. I loved our late night talking until 5am, risking him getting caught and grounded. Just talking about dumb stuff, really. But it didn't matter.

Woah, I sound like I'm mourning an ex, and we haven't even dated yet.

The point is, maybe I got used to that. To him being completely engaged in our conversations, as mundane as they were. Being comfortable enough to share with me very personal stuff, like his childhood YouTube channel.

So now, being left on "seen" twice in the same day, for the first time... felt hard to ignore. And of course, I started to overthink. Maybe he lost interest. Maybe there wasn't interest to begin with. Maybe he just secretly finds me annoying and didn't know how to stop talking to me. Maybe I said something weird.

Or maybe, this has nothing to do with me at all. Maybe he's just in a bad mood, for whatever reason. And I don't really want to text him, because I feel like I'm just coming off as annoying.

It's stupid, really, because if it were anyone else, I wouldn't care.

Very confusing, being in love.
